D2 takes its name from the "grand route du vin," or great wine road that travels through the historic chateau region of Bordeaux. Always led by Merlot, D2 is a traditional Bordeaux-style blend sourced from over 15 of the state's most prestigious vineyards across the Columbia Valley to create the ultimate expression of Washington State terroir. Cabernet Franc. The Gallica Cabernet Franc Oakville is a wine that comes from the Oakville region in Napa Valley, California. This region is known for producing high-quality wines due to its exceptional climate and soil. Aged in French oak barrels, it gains complexity and structure from this process. It presents a deep, bright ruby red color with purple hues. Intense aromas of red and black fruits such as cherries, raspberries, blackberries, and plums. Prominent floral notes, especially violets, with hints of sweet spices, tobacco, roasted red peppers, and fresh herbs like thyme and mint. Subtle oak notes from barrel aging contribute aromas of vanilla and cedar. On the palate, the wine is rich and fruity, reflecting the same red and black fruits detected on the nose. Medium to full-bodied with well-integrated, smooth tannins that provide a solid yet approachable structure.
