Intense plum red color, with dark purple hues, very clean.
Red and black fruits. A variety of spices: licorice, pepper, clove, nutmeg, and some balsamic notes. Light smoky and toasted notes like coffee and cocoa. Robust, confirming notes of ripe fruit with spices and toast. Medium tannins, balanced and velvety. Long and elegant finish.
Pairs well with grilled red meats, pasta with tomato or pesto. Small game, roasted pork, hare, or rabbit. Sausages, mushroom omelette, and cured cheeses like Camembert.
