Fragrant with violets, ripe red and black fruits such as plums and blackberries. With undertones of vanilla and cedar; enveloped in tobacco and leather. Great fruit on the palate, lively acidity, well-integrated wood background, and well-molded firm tannins. Finishes silky and long.
Ideal with game dishes, especially those with poultry. Also pairs well with pasta in meat sauce and a selection of cheeses ranging from creamy to semi-hard textures.
