   Notes of red and black fruits such as cherry, currant, and blackberry, complemented by hints of spices like pepper and licorice. In more mature wines, notes of leather, tobacco, and cocoa may emerge.

   Château Smith Haut Lafitte Le Petit Haut Lafitte pairs excellently with a variety of dishes, including grilled red meats such as beef steak, lamb, or venison, as well as game dishes like wild boar or deer. It also complements mature sheep’s milk cheeses and dishes made with mushrooms and aromatic herbs, such as porcini mushroom risotto.
